<DFN></DFN>

This is for the definition.
This is the effect.

<CODE></CODE>

You use this if you want something really clear like the code of a program.
This is the effect.

<SAMP></SAMP>

Gives the example outcome.
This is the effect.

<KBD></KBD>

This is, if you want to show something that is typed in through the keyboard.

<VAR></VAR>

Gives a variable.
This is the effect.

<CITE></CITE>

This represent a quote.
